I have the sweetest boy!

I was unwell the past few days and last evening was worse. 
Decided that we will have to get to bed early and the boys co-operated with me. 

My tummy was feeling weird too and that caused some discomfort. 

Lying on the bed and trying to rest, suddenly, Shayne came and hug me from my back. 

"Mummy, I will hug you until you fall asleep ok? Quick rest.  You will feel better!"

Omg, I turned around and gave him a big kiss.  Invited him to join me and Sedric in bed. 
It was so sweet.  He was so happy to be in the bed with us and he said: "Tonight I will take care of you!"  That's my sweetest boy.  But the youngest man started to get jealous and demanded my attention.  :( How to divide myself equally?   so I turn around and gave him a hug and at the same time I moved my other hand to Shayne and we held our hands tightly until we fell asleep....

Bet their papa won't get to hear and experience all these sweet gestures from Shayne.  His irregular hours at work has missed all the fun but he still get all the weird hours greeting from Sedric. 

As Sedric is light sleeper like me, he was awake by his papa who tried to kiss him when he came back from work.  This always caused the youngest man at home some excitement.  "PAPA! PAPA!"
he will start shouting with his loud voice. 

Middle of the night, this little fella woke each and everyone of us up.  Zombified all 3 of us except for himself.  The power of Sedric!

I love my boys so much.  Always there for me when I needed them most.  Thank you boys.

Preparing for Lunar New Year

Can't believe  it. The Lunar New Year is just 3 days away. Not much of preparation done. I haven even prepared the  ang pao despite getting  the notes changed a week ago.

 

Have you prepared yours? 

 

Been spending the  day with the kids.

 

As Shayne requested to pull out of Tien Hsia class, I need to get the home teaching material ready in order to start the lesson at home first before I can promise and agree with his request.

This week even though Lunar New Year is coming we need to kick start the class in order to get him started.

Need to start  moving my butt  to print out the characters he should learn! 

must gambatte!

 

Sedric on the other hand is getting me worried. He started his hitting journey. Decided to change our way of educating  him. Our hitting his hands doesn't  sent him the right signal too. I must use love and explanation  at this age?

 

Played with the boys this afternoon instead of preparing for Lunar New Year.

Fun Filled Friday the 13th!

It's  Friday  the Thirteen!

 

I was on leave today  to run some errands and boy, it was so fun!

 

Dropped the kids off to school  this morning and Shayne decided to have a show down. Somehow, affecting his little pal who gone to school with him.

After "settling" my stuff, I went for some nice breakfast. It's  only those days when you do not need to work and you get to enjoy in peace. 

 

Bought some Lunar New Year stuff to do craft work with Shayne. He will be excited to start I believe.

Since  it was still early before my next appointment, I went back to see my super  cheeky boy Number 2! Sedric! He Was having his morning nap when I reached home so I decided to do my pump first.
(In case you are wondering what pump, I'm  still breastfeeding  Sedric! :))

After done with my pump and settling the stuff, I took out the stuff I bought for the craft. Rolling  an orange! It was fun. And someone decided to wake up when  I was trying to figure out how to enlarge the oranges.

He joined me and we had  some fun! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Time to leave the house  for lunch  with my group of "aunties".  We were caught in the heavy traffic on PIE and thus spending an extra 30min  on the road. Boy, 30min passed by in a blink. We were so busy chatting and laughing madly in the car. Enjoying the buffet at Marriott, we gone crazy over the appetisers and desserts.  

Rebirth of my Blog

Been neglecting this blog for very long. 
Time for a rebirth. 

I have 2 boys now, one 72 months old and another 14 mths old. 
Life has been busy yet fulfilling. 

Weekend is always busy running around with both kids. 

Always trying methods etc to help my kids love learning. 
Hopefully they get to pick up something along the way. 

One important thing that I focus more is they learn through play. 
Learn the fun way. 

Busy busy bee

Been really busy recently that I really do not know how to start blogging. Which direction I would want my blog to go to.

Food blog? Life journey?  Too much to digest until I can't decide.

Been busy with the little one recapping on the phonics. Oh yes we haven even reach D. He has no mood for it. We have stopped our lessons for the past few weeks due to me busy baking for the lord birthday & the lunar new year.

Learning Journey for Shayne

Finally I'm starting to blog permanently just for my dear boy.

This is to mark his learning journey for the phonics lessons with his mummy.

During the lesson, I do not allow him to call me mummy. He has to call me Teacher Joanne.
Wonder if this will helps him learn better. Anyhow just give my best shot and not waste the money spent on the lessons I learnt.

Some notes on the phonics class before I focus on my lesson with Shayne.

Went for a phonics class held by a very experience ex child care teacher who selflessly share with us her experience. It was a great fun learning from her... Beside phonics, she taught us how to prompt words which makes learning spelling seems a lot easie.r too.

Back to Shayne's learning journey.
This is actually the 2nd lesson. The first lesson was a trial and I'm surprised that he can actually sit there patiently for 15min. It was with minimal craft work of coloring 2 ants.

Today we managed to do slightly more. Recapping the last lesson on the ants and starting the lesson on apples.
Did one craft work for apple today too.

Shayne has to base on his memory and recap what I taught him the other day. And it so happened that the plane flew past loudly and he happily shouted: "Teacher Joanne, A for Aeroplane!!!!"
