Learning Journey for Shayne

Finally I'm starting to blog permanently just for my dear boy.

This is to mark his learning journey for the phonics lessons with his mummy.

During the lesson, I do not allow him to call me mummy. He has to call me Teacher Joanne.
Wonder if this will helps him learn better. Anyhow just give my best shot and not waste the money spent on the lessons I learnt.

Some notes on the phonics class before I focus on my lesson with Shayne.

Went for a phonics class held by a very experience ex child care teacher who selflessly share with us her experience. It was a great fun learning from her... Beside phonics, she taught us how to prompt words which makes learning spelling seems a lot easie.r too.

Back to Shayne's learning journey.
This is actually the 2nd lesson. The first lesson was a trial and I'm surprised that he can actually sit there patiently for 15min. It was with minimal craft work of coloring 2 ants.

Today we managed to do slightly more. Recapping the last lesson on the ants and starting the lesson on apples.
Did one craft work for apple today too.

Shayne has to base on his memory and recap what I taught him the other day. And it so happened that the plane flew past loudly and he happily shouted: "Teacher Joanne, A for Aeroplane!!!!"

Away from home for Holiday

We were Away for a short holiday.
It's was a tiring one but we enjoyed it. :)
Like I told my mum that she will like feng jia ye shi most like me. And True enough after visiting about 7 night markets, she still like Fengjia the most. :)
We will sure be back again.
Tiring trip for the first few days in Taipei after Taichung. But the next few days were more relaxing. :)

Mini mini twist...

Supposed to blog last Friday but was too busy with the little one at home. 
He was down with the ever HFMD. 
Glad all was well now. 
He was back to his usual self with a day or two. 

So fast it's already Tuesday.  Counting down to Sunday now... :) 
We are going on a trip.  Packing was only half way done.  stress isn't it? 
Bringing a little one, I have got so much to bring along. 
Cant wait for our holiday to come... :)

Welcome

Hihi...
I have stopped blogging for a few years and have decided to resume since I feel that my life is currently more or less settled.
I'm telling myself that I should blog at least once a week.
Trying to keep to my promise now.

Let me share more about myself.
I'm a full time working mum with a two year old toddler.
He occupies all my time after my office hours. But no complains.
He's my first love now.
Yesterday was my 4th wedding anniversary.
We did not even celebrate it.
But I intend to get something for my man when I'm away end of the month.

I'm currently in another stage of my life.
Yes towards aging. Yucks. I hate it but will constantly remind myself to stay young and hippie... :)
